| Let us make your dreams a reality. As artists, we take great joy in collaborating with creative (and even not-so-creative!) folk. Working toward a common goal is inspiring, especially when it makes is think "outside the box." Do you have an idea you would like to see realized but lack the time, money, and/or resources to create? Let us do it for you. We will work together closely to ensure the end result is completely satisfying. If you'd like, we can also post the pictures you take of yourself or others in the piece you commissioned! How it works: 1.) Contact us and let us know your idea for a commission. You can use the form to right. 2.) We will respond as soon as possible and begin a dialogue about your idea. For some this will be very short -- "Awesome! Can do!" -- but for others we may need more information. See the "hints" to the right. ---> 3.) Prior to investing money in materials, we ask that you pay 50% of your commission fee up front. This fee will be determined on a project-by-project basis and will be kept as reasonable as possible. We ask that you pay this amount up front so that we can purchase the project materials and begin to work. Also, as much as we'd love to be free-spirited Bohemians who never worry about money, we have to consider it. This deposit is "faith" money that tells us you will follow through on the project and pay us for our work. This deposit is non-refundable. 4.) We bring your commission to life. 5.) We keep in contact with you throughout the process. Once the item has been complete and you are satisfied with the item, you pay the other 50%. 6.) We ship you the item. 7.) You or the intended recipient wear said commission and look wonderful. 8.) You send us pictures, if you are so inclined, that we can spotlight in our portfolio! Even if you've only commissioned a necklace, we'd love to see the entire outfit you wore it with. Inspiration is a wonderful gift. That's it! Don't hesitate to contact us with questions -- expressing interest is NOT locking you into anything! |
| Hints on how to speed up the process: 1.) Share any images you have. These can be your own preliminary drawings or images from the web that inspire you. 2.) Consider proportions. Do you want three-foot wings, a miniature 4" Lolita crown, or a skirt that grazes the floor? If possible, please consult a measuring chart in order to assure the proper delivery of measurements. Please see our "sizing" page below or visit the useful sizing chart here (opens a browser window to an outside URL): "How to Measure Yourself for a Custom Garment" 3.) Specify materials. Materials will make up a large component of the cost, so be sure to let us know what you are envisioning. We will suggest what we can, but it's important to know if you want velvet, silk, vinyl, cotton, etc. 4.) Remember your budget. Honestly, some of the stuff we make and sell is ridiculously cheap. However, if you want a full-on Elizabethan Renaissance gown draped in freshwater pearls, consider the materials costs and labor. Plan accordingly, and don't be afraid to ask for our input here. |
